Sat, 25 October 2008 For our 70th show we do something that is near and dear to our hearts, a side-by-side-by-side-by-side comparison of alike beers. We begin with our official political endorsement where we urge all to vote for Mark the Beer Geek - he seems the most qualified in our minds. Then we move on to a beer gifted to PBN by the good guys at Should I Drink That - thanks Father Spoon and Sickpuppy! The first brew was: - Kaiser Pils by Penn Brewing Company Then we get serious and crack open these beers: - Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere Harvest - Sierra Nevada Chico Estate Harvest - Sierra Nevada 12th Edition Harvest - Sierra Nevada Celebration 2008 - Sierra Nevada Celebration 2007 - Sierra Nevada Celebration 2006 In the spirit of celebrating the fresh hops of the year we conclude with: - Bridgeport's wet-hopped Harvest Ale. Absolutely incredible lineup, what a great comparison of the beers. Audio is a bit tinny, but hopefully not too bad. Check out the pictures from the show. Thu, 17 July 2008 Happy International Brewers Day!To celebrate we enjoy a bottle of Deschutes 20th Anniversary Wit (thank you Deschutes!). We also take a few minutes to mention some of our favorite brewers and why we appreciate what they do. We hope that you take part in this celebration, taking a moment to drop a brewer you know a line and say thanks - they have to put up with a lot of politics and work their asses off to make the beers we enjoy. For the brewers, we say thank you. Mon, 7 January 2008 Ah, it's good to be back! After several weeks away Rick, Mark and Mike are joined by Jeff, Tracy, Terri and others as we share beers picked up along the way of our holiday travels and adventures. This show is just a whole lot of fun, and long! There is a musical interlude about half way through, providing a good spot to stop if you need to. However, stick around till the very end - if nothing else, you should enjoy us enjoying great beer and great company.Cheers! Comments[0] |
